What a week it has been? Feels like we are all still punch-drunk from the news feeds, the scary stories, the clutching for positivity (at least the sun has come out to play). Our hearts are breaking for the people of Italy. As a nation we have to pull together and not apart (except for the social distancing!). At least our political leaders are showing us clear direction and helping to inspire hope. I think we all love Dr Tony! As business leaders we need to keep our people together and use technology to help stay connected. We're holding daily team coffees (10am, video on, using MS Teams) and using our messaging channels to keep everyone up to date. Trying to maintain as much virtual reality as possible - regular meetings are still happening, office traditions changing to online (virtual staff drinks this evening - on Zoom! A BYO experiment). We must continue looking for new and realistic ways to keep in touch and moving forward. Next week I'll be taking time for some 121 # calls with my team. Important to keep the human touch and use the video screen rather than a conference call each time. Today is international day of happiness. We're always looking for great ideas to help keep connected and the spirits up - feel free to share and let's all help each other out.
Well said, John
Well said John. Stay safe
Great post John and so true. We really need to make the effort to connect and check in with each other, colleagues and clients now more than ever. While enjoying one to one conversations with clients who have more time about what is going on I'm equally loving Whats App video for up to 4 colleagues for quick check ins! Hope you are keeping well.
Great approach John 👍🏻
Always great for cheering people up John Hogan! Hope all at Leman are well - the paperless office will help no doubt!
